The Jurassic period is probably the most well known period in the Mesozoic Era, due to such popular films like Jurassic Park. During the Jurassic Period, some of the most familiar dinosaurs roamed, like Stegosaurus, Allosaurus, and Brachiosaurus. Other important things were also happening at this time, like the development of birds, and other important, familiar dinosaur clades from the Cretaceous, like tyrannosaurs.
