Coelophysis
A head study of the early ceratosaur, Coelophysis bauri, found in the late Triassic of North America, and the early Jurassic of southern Africa.
A Coelophysis runs across a floodplain, crushing several bivalves in its path. Note-this image was commisioned for a report on Chinle bivalves.
The manus of Coelophysis bauri, showing the opposable first digit, equal length second and third digits, and vestigal fourth digit, likely included within the surface of the hand (see outline here).
